Unboxing October 2022 Dungeon Crate
October means autumn is upon us and the cozy feeling of fall has everyone ready for adventure. But beware, creatures of the night lurk around every corner, waiting to prey upon hapless adventurers. We’re here to cast light into the deep, dark shadows, adventure and to let you know just what we stuffed into our October 2022 Dungeon Crate.
This month’s offering brought monstrous mayhem, murderous math rocks, and a menagerie of minis.
A 10-pack of Sylvan Guard Warband Flat Plastic Miniatures from ArcKnight Games was our featured item for October. The Sylvan Guard is a unit of elves tasked with protecting the forest home of their ancestors. This warband includes 10 color coordinated elf minis and 1-10 numbered green bases. Each elf fills a unique role in the group including archers, rangers, spellcasters and heroes.
ArcKnight has perfected the ideal flat mini. Printed front and back, each warrior in the set is ready for battle. Use them as characters or foes. These minis look great on any game table, travel well, and are right at home around 3d mini models.
As per tradition, we included a pair of 18mm Bones Dice from Koplow Games. Roll the bones for real and enjoy the morbid look of these horror-themed math rocks. While no creatures were harmed to create these bony D6s, that doesn’t mean they aren’t blood thirsty.
To help them keep track of the bodies on the battlefield, we gave each member a set of 5 Death Markers from Project Cuts and Burns / Dungeon Crate. These skulls are designed to show where the terrain might get challenging with all the foes laying around. The set of etched wood skulls was created exclusively for Dungeon Crate.
Mystery Minis were snuck into each crate this month. People either received two small 3d minis or one larger one. These creatures and characters come ready for play or paint. All boast intricate sculpts and will add detail to any game play.
Welcome to Darkside Adventures Vol. 1, a collection of horror-themed encounters. This adventure is a collection of ghost stories filled with fierce monsters, horrifying creatures of the night, and deadly situations that will test the nerves of every player. Many of these encounters were directly inspired by some of our favorite horror films and stories and have been included separately in other Dungeon Crates. We are excited to have curated a collection of them into our first frightful volume.
