Unboxing July 2025 Dungeon Crate

It’s easy to enjoy summertime if you stay indoors in the AC and play RPGs! July’s Dungeon Crate was inspired by the heat and the fun of summer. Sizzling hot temperatures make it easy to imagine adventures in the desert so we set our encounter this month in the canyons of the Shifara Desert and gave our Dungeon Crate subscribers a mummy mini too. They also got treasures like a collection of condition markers, a mystery set of mini dice, and a pair of adorable wee dragon duckies. Dive into this post to find out what our members got in their Juen 2025 Dungeon Crate, adventurer.

Wandering Monsters Card Deck: Wilderlands by Nord Games

We put in a beautifully ilustrated 52-card deck by Nord Games in the June Dungeon Crate. This was the last month of four in a row that we gave our members decks from Nord Games. They each got a whole new crop of monsters, heaps of treasures, and scary traps throughout the months.

This deck takes monsters from the 5e core rulebook and makes them easy to pit them against players. Each illustrated card has 3-5 encounters with adjustable challenge ratings to keep those players on their toes.

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Mystery Mini Dice

Mini dice! We appreciate not just how adorable these little dice are but that they’re easy to read too. The color each member got was all up to the (very smol) dice roll. Some would even glow in the dark like lightning bugs. These Mystery Mini Dice are part of our exclusive Mystery Dice collection.

Mummy Miniature Figure from Reaper Minis

Dungeon Crate Adventurers got either a mummy lich or a mummy captain mini fig from Reaper Miniatures in their June 2025 Dungeon Crate. Either would be a good fit with the adventure of the month and would also work perfectly for any other adventure or campaign that requires a mummy. The mummy lich was sculpted by Tim Prow, the mummy captain by Bob Ridolfi. We’re big fans of the detailed sculpts on Reaper’s minis and the fact that you don’t have to prime them before you paint. In fact, you don’t have to paint them at all if you don’t want.

Set of 4 Condition Markers

Condition markers make it easy to remember what situation your character or monster has gotten themselves into–good or bad. These colorful rings are a universal fit to most every character mini base and are easy to read.

2 Teeny Tiny Dragon Duckies

Regular size dragon rubber duckies stole our hearts (and our subscribers too!) the minute we saw them so when we found these wee versions, we knew we had to get them to our people asap so the world could know of their cuteness.

Original System-Neutral Adventure: The Tombs of Tanjine – Dungeon Crate Exclusive for July 2025

This system-neutral encounter was designed for players at levels 3-8. System neutral makes it easy to play this encounter as-is or, with just a little tweaking, make it work with your favorite platform: DnD, Shadowdark, Pathfinder, or whatever you’ve got rolling.

The original adventure was written by Wayne Brekke and takes place in the Shifara Desert in the eastern section of our world of Halcyon but can easily be dropped into any desert-y campaign.

Here’s what players are up against:

Deep within the wind-carved canyons of the Shifara Desert lies a resting place lost to legend. The shifting sands have revealed what was meant to remain hidden—an ancient burial ground of unknown origin. Who sleeps within these forgotten tombs? What civilization constructed them? And what treasures may be found within? The answers await those brave enough to descend into the shadows below.

July 2025 Digital Dungeon Crate has PDFs of the Original Adventure & More
