Unboxing August 2022 Dungeon Crate

Hey there adventurer, the summer of 2022 saw the rebirth of cons after a long pandemic dry spell. Even if you didn’t make it to any cons this year, you don’t have to miss anything because Dungeon Crate brings the convention vendor floor to your castle door!

August’s crate delivered! It was when the elves came out to play. This month’s crate was filled with fun and useful RPG loot plus an original elven-inspired D&D 5E one-shot and all our printed pieces.

Our featured item this month was a Mimic Dice Set that was showcased by MimicDice.com at the 2022 Gen Con. This treasure chest-shaped mimic has a specially designed, padded interior that perfectly cradles a complete set of polyhedral dice. We knew giving one to our members would make them the envy of their gaming group.

We included a set of four mini elemental wands to conjure the forces of nature: earth, air, fire, water. These wooden wands were handmade by Cuts and Burns and each measures 5 ¾” so are the perfect size to bring with you to game days.

Anyone wearing the cosplay elf ears we gave would certainly be the talk of the table. The ears are made of soft, comfortable latex and fit nicely over your own ears so they stay in place.

Tips to make our cosplay elf ears your own: dye to match your skin tone using Ritz dye for synthetics. Add an earring (or several) and use permanent markers to create tattoos.

A Dungeon Crate exclusive, The Talon of Trismenor is an original third level D&D 5E one-shot written by Kevin Coffey. While designed for D&D 5E, with a few modifications, it can be played with most any fantasy RPG.

Here’s what adventurer’s are up against:

The word is out: A powerful artifact is being moved, and it’s now vulnerable to theft. It’s temporarily being housed in an elven fortress, but the right crew could break in and retrieve it. Are you up to the task?

A Dungeon Crate exclusive, this magical item stat card is part of the one-shot. It lets you read up on all the actions you can use (or can be used against you) with the talon of trismenor spear. This full-color illustrated card gives players a visual and has handy, quick-reference 5E stats on the back for GMs.

A Dungeon Crate exclusive, this big baddie stat card makes it more fun to play our one-shot this month. Adventurer’s will have to be on their toes to best this elven guard captain. Find out just what you’re up against with this full-color illustrated card. It offers players a handsome visual of who they’re fighting and also includes handy 5E stats on the back for GMs.

The Elves of Halcyon: a history is another Dungeon Crate exclusive, this one written by Floyd Cocklin. This missive lets you dig deeper into the lore of our sandbox world of Halcyon with this history of its first people, the elves, as summarized from the lectures of Oriath Tilnoran, Headmaster of Elvish Lore, Arcanium of Bayleen. It tells of the four elven ancestries and how they tie to Halcyon’s different geographic regions.

We added a god shard Augmented Reality Card from Ardent Roleplay, too. These cards aren’t found in any other RPG crate and are a great way to help fully immerse players into your adventures and campaign. Simple instructions were included to bring the card to 3D life.

Last but not least, we gave all members — be they digital-only or get the physical crate — access to our fully loaded Digital Dungeon Crate. Downloads included a PDF of the one-shot adventure, map, stat cards, and more.

Bonus, this code also gives members 10% off our online store, all month long. We’ve got a host of minis, dice and dice sets, coins, tokens, RPG lifestyle gear, full-length adventures, one-shot encounters, traps, random room encounters, and so much more. Many of our items are exclusive to Dungeon Crate! Members simply shop from the online store, enter their secret code at check-out, and 10% rolls off their total. It’s as easy as using your favorite cantrip.
