Unboxing the August 2021 Dungeon Crate: August has gone to the dwarves

Huzzah, adventurer! Our August Dungeon Crate is an homage to dwarves. We’ve dug into the lore of our world of Halcyon to bring you insight into the lives of its dwarves and we have a new dwarven encounter and random rooms to whet your appetite for adventure. Check out the dwarf mini with his action arms, satisfyingly stackable dwarven coins, dwarven art print, and no dwarven crate would be complete without precious gems and kegs of booze so we added those too.

 Dwarf Mini - Norse Foundry

Welcome Gromur to your clan. Customize this beefy dwarf male to make him your own by choosing from his full range of arm options:  brutal great axe, staff, right and left armed closed fist, right and left armed one-handed axes, and bow. This highly detailed, unpainted mini from the Norse Foundry Adventurers & Adversaries line was sculpted by artist V Drago. We can’t wait to see all the different variations you come up with.

Dwarven Coin Set - Campaign Coins

Each satisfyingly stackable set of these square, grooved dwarven tower coins includes a 20mm soldier coin, 24mm captain coin, and 28mm general coin. They were designed by Drew Morrow. Want to start a fight? Knock over the coin tower stacked beside any dwarf’s mug of ale. Just for fun, here’s a link to a coin tower puzzle.

Gem Set & Treasure Chest

What is a dwarven treasure without gems? Incomplete! Fill your dwarven coffers with this collection of three glistening gems: red ruby, green peridot, and orange diamond. We’ve even stashed them in an antiqued chest.

Wooden Keg Set - American Woodcrafters Supply

No dwarf clan gathering would be complete without stacks of kegs filled with ale or mead or whiskey, preferably multiples of all three. To get your party started, here’s an assorted set of wooden kegs to paint or stain or use as-is to slake the thirst of your dwarven folk.

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Set of 3 Assorted Bookmarks

Use these three bookmarks in your reference books to keep track of go-to spells, favorite monsters, or just to keep your place as you read. There’s space on the front to jot a note with a wet erase pen and the back is dungeon-certified terrain. Handy!

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Durin Art Print by Dungeon Doodles

”Behold my mighty minotaur horn helm!” -Durin

Check out this bad a$$ dwarven warrior that Dungeon Doodles created. Matt is a professional traditional and digital artist currently based in Portland, Oregon.

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Dwarves of Halcyon: a history by Floyd

Dig deeper into the lore of our world of Halcyon with this history of its dwarves as told by dwarven loremaster, Vadreas Runespeaker. The accounting tells of the ancient split between Halcyon’s dwarves, which created different factions that have yet to be reunited.

Dungeon Crate Exclusive - Lost Book of Fireforge Encounter by Laurie & Wayne Brekke

This 5e encounter based in our world of Halcyon was written by the Shady Lady with combat help from Wayne and is designed for third level characters. Here’s what your party is in for: From Gloamhaven, it’s a two-day trek up to Balderstone, where the ancestral home of the Halcyon dwarves lies in ruin. A young dwarf, Ulfgar Fireforge, will pay handsomely if you travel there with him to find a lost family heirloom.
